Beech Hedges & Beetroot

Jul 2015

beecharchWalkers arriving today for two stages of the Ridgeway National Trail, thank goodness for the rain so no need to go to the allotment to water the bounty!

No water on our allotment so that means carting big jerry cans down with precious water when it is dry.  Already captured some gooseberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and beetroot.

Need ideas for how to use beetroot for breakfast? Any takers???

Matthew has been busy cutting the hedges, see photo of beech arch looking very smart and yew hedge finally recovering from last year’s severe trim.  Sweet peas in full glory, such a gorgeous smell.

Now baking….. oh and beds.
